Street Player es el sexto álbum de estudio de la banda de funk Rufus (y su cuarto álbum con la cantante Chaka Khan), lanzado en el sello ABC Records en 1978. Street Player fue el tercer álbum de la banda en la cima de la lista de álbumes de R&B del Billboard y también alcanzó el puesto 14 en Música pop. El álbum incluye los sencillos "Stay" (US R&B #3, US Pop #38) y "Blue Love" (US R&B #34).
En 1979 la banda de jazz / rock Chicago presentó una versión de la canción principal (Street Player) en su álbum de 1979 Chicago 13, con Peter Cetera como voz principal. La canción fue coescrita por el baterista de Chicago en ese momento, Danny Seraphine. La canción "Stay" fue posteriormente interpretada por Erykah Badu en su álbum Live de 1997, además de actuar en el episodio "Vendetta" del drama policial New York Undercover de Fox, que se emitió por primera vez el 24 de abril de 1997.

Chicago 13 es el undécimo álbum de estudio de la banda estadounidense Chicago, lanzado en 1979. Como continuación de Hot Streets, Chicago 13 sería el lanzamiento final de la banda con el guitarrista Donnie Dacus, que había seguido al fallecido miembro fundador, el guitarrista Terry Kath. Todos los miembros de la banda contribuirían a la composición (uno de los dos únicos álbumes donde este es el caso, y el otro es Chicago VII).
Chicago 13 es el primer álbum de Chicago que no tiene sencillos de gran éxito. La pista de apertura, "Street Player", impulsada por la música disco, también se lanzó como single, pero no llegó a las listas, lo que lo convirtió en el primer single de la banda que se perdió las listas por completo. A pesar de las críticas negativas, Chicago 13 alcanzó el puesto 21 y se convirtió en oro.
En 2003, Rhino Records remasterizó y reeditó Chicago 13 con un lado B, con "Closer to You" de Dacus (una toma eliminada de las sesiones de Hot Streets) y la mezcla de 12 pulgadas de "Street Player" como bonus tracks. Turn Back the Clock es el álbum de estudio debut de la banda inglesa Johnny Hates Jazz. Fue lanzado por Virgin Records el 11 de enero de 1988 en el Reino Unido y el 29 de marzo de 1988 en los Estados Unidos. El álbum, cuyo sencillo más famoso fue "Shattered Dreams", alcanzó el puesto número uno en la lista de álbumes del Reino Unido y en el número 56 en el Billboard 200 de EE. UU. Gráfico y número 10 en Nueva Zelanda. La pista "Foolish Heart" se lanzó originalmente como single en 1986 como "Me and My Foolish Heart".

Fox The Fox - In The Dark Of The Nite es un álbum lanzado en 1984 bajo el sello CBS. La banda es mejor conocida por su sencillo "Precious Little Diamond".
Fox the Fox, fue una banda funk holandesa fundada por Berth Tamaëla y Sylvia Musmin, también conocida como Silhouette Musmin en 1981. Entre los miembros estaban el bajista Gino Jansen, el guitarrista Kier van der Werf, el tecladista Roy Kuschel y los bateristas Robbie Brans, Tjalling Bos y Han Langkamp. Musmin escribió todas las letras. Dos años después de fundar la banda, lanzaron "Flirting and Show", que alcanzó el número 40 en los Países Bajos y Alemania. Un año después lanzaron el sencillo "Precious Little Diamond", que alcanzó el quinto lugar en Alemania, el número 18 en el Billboard Hot Dance Music / Club Play de Estados Unidos, el 11 en los Países Bajos, el 15 en Francia, el 38 en Bélgica y el 86 en el Reino Unido. The Human League es una banda inglesa de synth-pop formada en Sheffield en 1977.
