Touch Me es el álbum de estudio debut de la cantante inglesa Samantha Fox. Fue lanzado el 7 de julio de 1986 por Jive Records. El álbum generó cuatro sencillos de éxito comercial: "Touch Me (I Want Your Body)", "Do Ya Do Ya (Wanna Please Me)", "Hold On Tight" y "I'm All You Need". "Touch Me (I Want Your Body)" alcanzó el número tres en la lista de singles del Reino Unido y el número cuatro en el Billboard Hot 100 de EE. UU. "Love House" fue lanzado en noviembre de 1988 como el primer sencillo del álbum en el Reino Unido, alcanzando el número 32 en la lista de singles del Reino Unido. Heartbeat City es el quinto álbum de estudio de la banda de rock estadounidense The Cars. Fue lanzado el 13 de marzo de 1984 por Elektra Records. La banda produjo el álbum con Robert John "Mutt" Lange. Recibido con una respuesta comercial positiva, el álbum tuvo numerosas pistas que se transmitieron con los exitosos sencillos "Drive" y "You Might Think" llegando al top 10 del Billboard Hot 100. El álbum también recibió críticas favorables de varios críticos; por ejemplo, Robert Christgau declaró que "el enfoque brillante que inventaron los Cars ha hecho de este el mejor año para el pop puro en casi veinte años, y es justo que vuelvan a tomar forma con tanta confianza".

The Best of 1980-1990 es la primera recopilación de grandes éxitos de la banda de rock irlandesa U2, lanzada en noviembre de 1998. En su mayoría, contiene los sencillos de éxito del grupo de la década de 1980, pero también incluye algunas mezclas en vivo y una nueva grabación, "Sweetest Thing ". En abril de 1999, se lanzó un video complementario (con videos musicales y secuencias en vivo). El álbum fue seguido por otra compilación, The Best of 1990-2000, en 2002.

Una versión de edición limitada que contiene un disco especial de caras B se lanzó una semana antes que la versión de un solo disco. Si bien este edicto nunca se materializó, resultó en que la versión de dos discos tuviera una gran demanda. The Best of 1990-2000 es el segundo álbum de grandes éxitos de la banda de rock irlandesa U2. Fue lanzado el 5 de noviembre de 2002 a través de Island Records e Interscope Records. Se editó como una compilación de CD de un solo disco y como una compilación de múltiples discos llamada The Best of 1990-2000 & B-Sides, que incluía un segundo disco de 14 caras B lanzado entre 1990 y 2000 y un DVD extra. Más tarde, en diciembre de 2002 se lanzó un álbum de videos con el mismo nombre.

The Best of 1990-2000 contenía dos temas recién grabados, "Electrical Storm" y "The Hands That Built America"; el primero fue lanzado como single, mientras que el segundo fue lanzado en la banda sonora de Gangs of New York. La compilación también incluye "nuevas mezclas" de varias canciones, así como las pistas "Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me" (un sencillo que no forma parte del álbum de 1995) y "Miss Sarajevo" (que originalmente se atribuyó a Passengers y también lanzado como single en 1995).
